Hello, my 7th blog is about reflection on the English classes and the short trip to Perth.
Reflection of English class
Firstly, the English classes was exciting! I enjoyed excursions, conversations with classmates and Terri, learned Aussie cultures, had some tests, and wrote this blog! The excursion to Maiden’s Park is such a precious memory. I love hiking, so the scenery was amazing. I hope I visit there again. Also, I love talking English more than before the class began. I learned the difference between casual writing and academic writing. (Here, I write casual) Also, if I couldn’t say my opinion in the correct way, my friends or Terri always helped me, and I really appreciated their kindness. In addition, I could learn Aussie cultures in this class. For example, Aboriginal cultures, Australian geography and animals, Australian famous sports, etc. Because of the lessons, I could enjoy finding magpies, a boomerang painting event in the village and heard the Didgeridoo’s sound in Perth. Furthermore, I had some tests which is about my 4+ English skills; listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking. In Japan, we have tests which measure our Listening, Reading, Writing, and speaking, so I was little bit surprised that there were so many kinds of tests, here. Moreover, it was really worthwhile for me to write English blogs. I could notice my mistakes naturally and I love sharing my experiences. I’m going to renew this blog once a week from now on, too.

2day trip for Perth
Secondly, I’ll write about the two-day trip in Perth. I went to Perth and did sightseeing with my friends. I met my friends for the first time in 2 months who were in the same English class in uni. (I met one of them last week, but others didn’t.) I was relieved to see them and enjoyed the trip. Firstly, I went to Coles, and I was surprised by the price! In Bunbury, I often see half-price sales, and it changes every Wednesday, however, here, all the merchandises were not discounted. Next, I went to Kings Park. It is one of the most popular sightseeing places, and the view was AMAZING!!! I could see both rivers, and beautiful flowers. Then, I saw the Mount Lawley campus. It was much bigger than Bunbury campus, and the shape of some buildings were weird and tall. In Bunbury, most houses, buildings have only one floor, because the land price is lower than construction cost. Therefore, I noticed the feature of two cities in this campus so much. Then, I had a dinner in a stylish restaurant. Both decorations and meals were nice, and a good atmosphere.
On the next day, I went to Fremantle. The cityscape is historical, and I was really impressed. Firstly, I visited Fremantle market, and it was really huge, and many people in it. I could see hand-made accessories, fresh fruits, cute snacks, and so on. The place was as if I was in an Asian country. Then, I went to a restaurant to eat fish and chips. It was bigger than I expected, so we shared it between three people. The taste was really crunchy, and the fried fish was so yum!! Then, I went to Fremantle Prison, and saw lots of historical things. The most surprising thing was that it was used until 1990s. My birth year is 2002, so around 20 years!! Also, I could see prisoners’ clothes, letters, artworks and so on. I didn’t have much time, but I was really interested in the optional tour, so I want to come again, in the near future.
In this way, my 7 weeks has been a really precious time for me, also my trip, too. I will have a semester break next week, and I will visit Cairns and Sydney. I’m really looking forward to it. I will go there for 8 days and enjoy Australian nature!
